Cookie Policy

Last updated: January 2025

This Cookie Policy explains how BG Remove uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) on https://www.bgremove.site. By continuing to use the site, you agree to the use of the cookies described below.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences and improve your experience. Cookies are not programs and cannot harm your device.

2. Cookies and storage we use

2.1 Essential storage

  • bgr.lang — Saves your preferred language (e.g. "en", "es", "hi"). Stored in localStorage. Expires when you clear browser data.

These entries are strictly necessary for the site to remember your language preference. Without them, the language selector would reset on every page load.

2.2 Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate page traffic. Analytics cookies are not used to identify individual users. If enabled, they typically set a small number of first-party cookies with a lifespan of up to 12 months.

2.3 Third-party cookies

If advertising is displayed on the site (for example, via Google AdSense), those third parties may set their own cookies. We do not control these cookies. You can review each third party's cookie policy on their respective website.

3. Cookies we do NOT use

  • Cross-site tracking cookies for advertising networks other than disclosed partners
  • Session replay or heatmap recording tools
  • Fingerprinting scripts

4. How to control cookies

You have several options to control or disable cookies:

  • Browser settings. All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • Local storage. You can clear localStorage from your browser's developer tools or from Settings → Privacy.
  • Private/incognito mode. Cookies and local storage are cleared when you close the private window.

Disabling essential storage will reset your language preference on each visit, but the tools will continue to work normally.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because there is no industry consensus on how to interpret them. We do not track users across other websites in any case.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy last changed. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
