Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BG Remove at https://www.bgremove.site ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of service

BG Remove provides free online image tools including an AI background remover, transparent PNG maker, image compressor, resizer, cropper, rotator, watermark remover, photo enhancer, passport photo maker, profile picture maker, product photo editor, and color picker. Most tools run in your browser; the background remover uses our server-side processing API.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will not:

  • Upload or process images you do not have the legal right to modify
  • Remove watermarks from images you do not own without permission
  • Use the Service to create content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other rights
  • Use the Service to create illegal content, including CSAM, harassment, or malicious deepfakes
  • Attempt to overload, attack, or bypass rate limits on the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our API or AI model
  • Use automated scripts to access the Service without permission
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose that competes directly with BG Remove

Violation of these rules may result in immediate termination of access.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the images you upload and the images you download. We do not claim ownership over your content. By uploading an image, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process that image solely for the purpose of returning the result to you. This license ends the moment the response is delivered.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any image you submit. If you upload images owned by someone else without permission, you — not BG Remove — bear full legal responsibility.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Results from any tool will meet your expectations or requirements
  • Passport photos, product photos, or any other output will be accepted by any authority or platform
  • Any bug or defect will be corrected

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BG Remove and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, lost data, lost revenue, or replacement costs. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, if you use the free tools, is zero.

6. Service availability

We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uptime. The background removal API may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or infrastructure issues. Browser-based tools will continue to work even when the API is down.

7. Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party site. Your use of any third-party site is at your own risk.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator of BG Remove is based, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
