How to use the passport photo maker
- Upload a well-lit, front-facing photo with a plain background.
- Choose your country preset — the tool sets the correct pixel dimensions.

What makes a good passport photo
- Face fills most of the frame. Head should occupy roughly 60–70% of the photo's height.
- Neutral expression. Mouth closed, eyes open, looking directly at the camera.
- Plain, even background. White, light grey, or light blue. Use the background remover first if needed.
- No shadows or glare. Soft, even lighting from the front.
- No accessories. No hats, sunglasses, or heavy jewelry (with some exceptions for religious reasons).
- Recent. Photos should be under 6 months old.

Can I use a smartphone photo?
Yes. Modern smartphone cameras are excellent for passport photos. Stand against a plain wall, use even lighting, and keep your face centered. A portrait-mode selfie can work if the background is clean.
Does this remove backgrounds?
No. This tool only crops and resizes. Use the AI background remover first to make your background white or blue, then come back here to crop to size.
Can I print the photo at home?
Yes. The "Print Sheet" button generates a 4×6 inch sheet with multiple copies. Print it on photo paper at a pharmacy, print shop, or on a home printer, then cut the photos out with a paper trimmer for clean edges.
